Description

IC 698 group of Galaxies is a part of the Coma A/1367 supercluster. Its one of the smallest galaxy groups which has been observed in this cluster. The distance is about 290 mio Lj.
The members are the following listed according to RA:
IC 698    0,66 x 0,35 arcmin      14m5
IC 2850  0,44 x 0,20 arcmin      14m8
IC 2853  0,53 x 0,42 arcmin      14m6
IC 2857  0,91 x 0,16 arcmin      15m3
IC 699    0,90 x 0,35 arcmin      14m6

There is as well a "bigger Galaxy" visible at the left side which does not belong to the cluster. This is NGC 3692. The galaxy is in a distance of 125 Mio Lj and has a visual size of 1,5 x 0,44 arcmin. Compared to all the other galaxies its huge!

I was happy with the seeing on that day. It looks like that this is an Astrobin debut picture.
